Cerenity- White Bear Lake Memorial Garden Dedication

Cerenity- White Bear Lake had a wonderful celebration at our official ribbon cutting for the newly established Memorial Garden the week prior to Memorial Day 2021. Chaplain Ann Gonzales shared some inspiring words, “A memorial garden is meant to inspire and be meditative and is really for all of our campus to utilize.” Cerenity Administrator Pat McDonald added, The garden “is a beautiful space to take time and reflect on the year we have had and the people we have lost. Thank you to everyone who helped make the garden possible!”

The Memorial Garden, was established in 2020 when our traditional annual Memorial Service could not be conducted indoors due to COVID-19 restrictions. As an alternative, resident family member whom had loved ones pass during 2020 were invited to an outdoor memorial service and garden dedication. Family and friends of Cerenity Senior Care were informed a formal ribbon cutting ceremony and additional garden improvements would occur during Spring of 2021 with timing to coincide with the national Memorial Day holiday. The garden is a culmination of approximately100 volunteer hours and a true community effort that brought together resident family members, staff, our local Rotary International Club and the White Bear Area Chamber of Commerce to make the beautiful and functional outdoor space become a reality. “Blessed are the peacemakers.” is inscribed on the dedication plaque.
