Cerenity Volunteer Named Volunteer of the Year

Posted on November 23rd, 2011 in White Bear Lake | No Comments

Mary Lynch, a volunteer at Cerenity Senior Care of White Bear Lake, was presented with the Adult Volunteer of the Year award on Nov. 15 at Care Providers of Minnesota’s annual conference, which is attended by 3,000 long-term care professionals from across the state. Cerenity White Bear Lake staff nominated Mary for the award last spring; residents created a  video as part of the nomination submission. When Mary received the award at the conference, she jokingly commented, “This isn’t going to change me!” Mary volunteers nearly every day at Cerenity, assisting residents and staff in numerous ways, such as helping with meals, special events, jigsaw puzzles, bedside reading, church services and countless other tasks. When residents pass away, Mary often attends the memorial services and funerals. It is difficult to imagine Cerenity of White Bear Lake without Mary Lynch. Care Center residents, staff, local dignitaries and friends congratulated Mary at a celebration on the campus in early October.
