Some tenants at Cerenity Senior Care – Humboldt are trying a new approach to their morning workout routine by taking part in a Yoga class twice a week. Breaking away from the usual classes offered is something tenants are growing quite fond of. “I’ve been coming to this class since it began. It leaves me collected and able to take on the day when I leave,” says Leigh, a tenant at Humboldt and avid Yoga participant. The class has three immediate goals, to offer gentle range of motion exercise, to improve breathing and focus, and to promote relaxation. “Ultimately we want participants to move towards better physical health, greater mental clarity, and more personal contentment,” says instructor Nancy Giguere. The class is offered Monday and Thursday mornings at 8:45 a.m. in the Chapel or recreation room.
