Cerenity Senior Care – Marian of Saint Paul received zero deficiencies on the annual survey inspection conducted by the Minnesota Department of Health, Facility and Provider Compliance Division. A team of state and federal inspectors conducted the survey at Cerenity Marian Care Center June 13-16. Results were announced at the conclusion of the inspection.
Long-term care/skilled nursing facilities that provide care for Medicare and/or Medicaid programs are surveyed annually to determine whether federal requirements and certification rules are being met. In receiving the perfect score, Cerenity Marian was recognized for meeting or exceeding federal standards.
The detailed survey evaluates the quality of care and services provided, as well as the appropriateness of the facility’s building, equipment, staffing, policies, procedures and finances. The Department of Health describes the surveys as “a snapshot of the facility’s performance at the point in time when the survey is conducted.” Surveys are always unannounced and typically conducted over a period of several days. The surveyors are health care professionals such as registered nurses, dietitians and sanitarians.
“The results of this survey are a testament to the outstanding staff and the care they provide to the residents at Marian of Saint Paul. Achieving a perfect, zero deficiency survey puts Marian of Saint Paul in the top 3 percent of nursing facilities in Minnesota,” stated Jeff Thorne, administrator/CEO of Cerenity Marian.
