The Board of Directors of Catholic Senior Services (CSS) officially welcomed six of Benedictine Health System’s (BHS) related organizations, including Cerenity Senior Care – Marian of Saint Paul, as sponsoring organizations to the Catholic Senior Service program of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis at its regular meeting on Feb. 24. Bishop Lee Piché, who chairs the Board, expressed how glad he was for the addition of such a significant family of partners in the mission of coordinated care for our seniors.
In welcoming BHS to the CSS Bishop Piche’ stated, “As one of the largest Catholic long-term care organizations in the United States they bring a unique expression of Benedictine mission to witness to God’s love by providing compassionate quality care with special concern for the underserved and those in need in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.”
“The Benedictine Health System is pleased to be a new affiliate of Catholic Senior Services,” said Dale Thompson, BHS president/CEO. “CSS is poised to be a unique catalyst and forum for change in support of Catholic long-term care providers as they strive to meet the growing and ever-changing needs of patients, residents and families in the Twin Cities area.”
Deacon Dan Gannon, president/CEO of CSS added, “I am very excited to have BHS on board, as we broaden the CSS affiliation. Their affiliation and support for our shared mission is an important step forward for Catholic seniors throughout this Archdiocese.”
